| FINAL ITINERARY |
Independence Day Parade
Royse City, Texas
Mission Date; July 4,
2009
Ride Captain: None Currently Assigned We have been invited again this year to the
Royce City 4th of July parade. This is an evening
parade when the sun is lower in the sky and is only about a
half-mile long. The parade is led each year by the Tri-County
Veteran Honor Guard and they have asked us to join them in leading
the parade, a very prestigious position and a great honor. We
shared this honor with them last year and they have invited us back.
In the invitation they said that last year the PGR “made the parade
a huge success.” Part 1 –
Parade: Saturday, July 4th –
6:00 PM Staging – 5:30 PM First Methodist Church
Map - http://tinyurl.com/nakbwu We will meet in the parking area of the church and locate Mr. Gene Allen and the Tri-County Veteran Honor Guard and line up with them for the parade. Weather:
Partly cloudy with a high of 98 degrees. There will be no water truck available for this event. Each rider is responsible for his/her own hydration. It is highly recommended that each rider take proper precautions for the hot weather and begin proper hydration procedures the day prior to the parade, including electrolyte enhancing beverages. It’s also a good idea to make accommodation on your motorcycle to carry easily accessible water, etc., with you for use during the parade itself. Respectfully Submitted, Steve “Badger”
