Mission:

Mr. Arnold is a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom where he served in the United States Army achieving the rank of Sergeant in the Military Police Corps. Mr. Arnold was awarded the Army Achievement Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal with "M" device for mobilization, the National Defense Service Medal, Non-Commissioned Officers Development Ribbon and Army Service Ribbon. After returning from Iraq, Mr. Arnold attained the rank of Sergeant with the Parker County Sheriff's Office in the Patrol Division and most recently the Criminal Investigation Division. Mr. Arnold was well respected within the community.

Obituary:

Rusty Gene Arnold, 32 years old of Springtown, TX, passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2010 surrounded by his family and friends. Rusty was born June 4, 1978 to Stan and Lou Ann Arnold of Stephenville, Texas. Rusty was very active in the Boy Scouts and achieved the Eagle Scout ranking in 1993. Rusty graduated Stephenville High School in 1996, attended Tarleton State University and graduated from Weather College Police Academy in 2000. Rusty was a member of the First Baptist Church in Stephenville and the Springtown Eureka Lodge #371 A.F. & A.M. Rusty was a great father and husband. He enjoyed spending time outdoors with his family and friends. Rusty was preceded in death by his grandfather Charles Ray Sowers. Rusty is survived by his wife, Kelsey and young son, his parents, his sister Amy Arnold, maternal grandmother Jean Dodge, paternal grandparents Bennie and Bobbie Arnold and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Details Of Part 1:

We will stage at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Home where we will have our safety briefing and receive directions from the Parker County Sheriff's department. We are there to Honor Mr. Arnold and his family.

PGR will stage at 11:30AM on December 30, 2010 at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel located at 913 North Elm Street, Weatherford, TX 76086 . Motorcycles will stage on East 1st Street heading west (please follow directions when arriving at the funeral chapel). At approximately 12:45PM the escort will leave Weatherford going to (Springtown) football stadium located at 500 Pojo Street, Springtown, TX  for the 2:00PM memorial service. 

The ride from Weatherford to Springtown is approximately 18 miles, please ensure you have enough gas to make the trip.

Details Of Part 2:

Flag trucks and cages need to go directly to the Springtown football stadium. Please be there by 1:00PM. Parking directions will be provided as you arrive at the stadium. After riders arrive please proceed to pick up a flag for the flag line as Mr. Arnold and family arrive. Additional directions will be provided by the ride captain at the stadium.

Weather Conditions: God was watching over the weather as we honored Rusty Arnold and showed our respect to the Arnold family.

The day was filled with respect and Love as hundreds came to Honor Rusty Arnold "American Hero", and the Arnold family and friends. We, as the PGR, see ourselves as family and what we witnessed today, seeing all the support from fellow officers was - heartwarming to all. Thanks to the Veterans and Officers for protecting us and keeping us safe. Special thanks go to all the PGR members who supported this heartfelt mission.

We thank the Arnold family and best friend / fellow veteran Judson Moore for inviting the PGR to honor Rusty Arnold. The service touched all of us, Rusty will not be forgotten. God Bless! .
