Mission:

The family of Dwayne William Griffitt has asked the North Texas Patriot Guard to participate in his Memorial Service. The Patriot Guard will stand a flag line in honor of the American Veteran.

Obituary:

Dwayne William Griffitt, 53, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, March 14, 2010 after a short and courageous battle with liver cancer.
Mr. Griffitt was born July 6, 1956 in DeLand, Fla., the son of Bobby Gean and Joyce Elaine (Thomas) Griffitt. Dwayne married the love of his life, Teresa Sloan Aug. 27, 1977 at Georgetown Baptist Church in Pottsboro. He served his country proudly in the U. S. Army. Dwayne had a master plumbers' license, and owned and operated Dwayne's Plumbing since 1995. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and motorcycling. He was a member of West Sherman Baptist Church. Dwayne was a loving husband, father and grandfather and son. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Mr. Griffitt is survived by his loving family: wife of 32 years, Teresa Griffitt; children, Anthony Griffitt, Cody Sloan and Christopher Stewart-Griffitt; parents, Bobby Gean Griffitt; stepmother, Joeann Griffitt; and mother, Joyce Thomas; brothers and sisters, Gary Griffitt and wife, Melissa, Diane Krebbs and husband, Kenny, David Griffitt and wife, Lynn, Susan Figueroa and husband, John, David Courtaway and wife, Carol, Camille Edgecomb and husband, Kenneth and Robert Griffitt; six grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service will be at the Sherman Bible Church at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 18, 2010
