Mission:

The family of Allison M. Ringwood has asked that the PGR honor the selfless and dedicated service of M/sgt. Allison M. Ringwood, US Air Force Ret., by standing a flag line at her memorial service.

Obituary:

Allison Marie Ringwood, 56, passed away June 21, 2011 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, June 27, 2011, at Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home with Chaplain Jason Kloncnick officiating.

Allison was born November 28, 1954 in Lincoln, Maine to Dick and Rosemary Tracy. She served her country in the U.S. Air Force, joining in 1975. Allison married Charley Ringwood on April 3, 1982 in Pease AFB, New Hampshire. After active duty retirement as a MSGT, she and her family settled in Wichita Falls.

Allison received instructor of the quarter and instructor of the year many times during her career in the AETC. She was also a lifetime member of the DAV and active in the Meals on Wheels program.

Allison was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Veronica. She is survived by her husband, Charley Ringwood of Wichita Falls, TX; two sons Chuck Ringwood and wife Joy of Manteca, CA, and Jason Ringwood of Wichita Falls; sister Kathy Tracy of Wichita Falls; and four grandchildren, Marissa, McKenzie, Kimberly, and Zackery.

We will stand tall and silent with a flag line to honor this hero.
At the request of the family, once the service has begun we will move the flag line into the chapel to honor this veteran during full military honors.
