Obituary:
|
Sgt. Kimberly Agar (US Army), daughter of Margy Agar and
Michael Agar (with wife Margaret Watson); sister of SSgt
Stephen Agar (USAF), and Christopher Agar all of Dallas/Ft
Worth Tx, died unexpectedly on October 3, 2011, at the age
of 25. Kimberly, a member of the U.S. Army, held an
elite position in the US Army Europe Band & Chorus and had
been traveling throughout Europe as a vocalist putting on
military shows both for other countries and for dignitaries
visiting the US Army in Illisheim, Germany where she was
stationed at the time of her death. Kimberly had been
injured in Iraq in combat and her death was a result of this
injury. She grew up in the metroplex and was well
known for performing the National Anthem at various locales
including Lonestar Park and for the Texas Rangers. She was
also a Miss Teen Texas and a Miss Texas pre-lim contestant.
The city of Burleson Texas named a Community Service Award
in her name. She enlisted in the Army in October of 2006.
She is survived by two grandmothers of Lansing, Michigan;
Paternal grandmother Betty Agar and maternal grandmother Ann
Powers. She was preceded in death Oct 29, 2009 by her
maternal grandfather who was an Army Veteran. She is also
survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins and of course all
of her fellow battle buddies.

Comments:
|
- Iron horses if you can, cages are always welcome and
appreciated.
- Safety First: Please remember to properly hydrate
(including the night before) before any outdoor activity and
to dress appropriately. Do not hesitate to take a break at
any time if you feel you need to get in the shade or get
indoors and always ask for help at any time. Also please do
not forget your sun screen.
- Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and
silent, and with honor and respect for this patriot and
their family.
- We will park along the main street close to the
designated shelter with 2 bikes side by side as close to the
curb and each other as possible so that traffic can get by
- Let's always remember to keep the motorcycle and voice
noise to a minimum when arriving and leaving the shelters.
- Show our respect to ALL who are there, not just the one we
are honoring.
