Obituary Highlights:

Don W. Boone, 76, of Ector, Texas went home to his Lord Monday, April 1, 2013, surrounded by family and friends. Don was born Dec. 30, 1936 in Tyler, Texas, to E. B. & Era Woodson Boone. He graduated from Snyder High School in 1956 and attended the University of Houston College until he was called to serve his country in the United States Army. There he received several medals, two being the Good Conduct Medal and the Rifle Sharpshooter Medal. He was very passionate about his country and the flag.

We will stage in the parking lot of the Boyd Baptist Church, Bonham, Texas, and stand a flag line in front of the church for the funeral service. We will then depart for the Sunnyside Cemetery in Savoy, Texas, to form another flag line at the interment service.

- Iron horses if you can, cages are always welcome and appreciated.

- Safety First: Please remember to properly hydrate (including the night before) before any outdoor activity and to dress appropriately. Do not hesitate to take a break at any time if you feel you need to get in the shade or get indoors and always ask for help at any time. Also please do not forget your sun screen.

- Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for this patriot and their family. NO TALKING, SMOKING, CHEWING TOBACCO PRODUCTS, OR CELL PHONE USE IN THE FLAG LINE!

- Cemeteries are hallowed ground. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Show our respect to ALL who are there, not just the one we are honoring.

Please dress accordingly in which to represent yourself and the PGR. Remember first impressions is how the family views us as a group.
