We will stage in the SE corner of the parking lot of Tractor
Supply Co. in Gainesville, TX. We will coordinate all
donated supplies to their designated trucks (3 trucks will
be needed, possibly with trailers) with their destinations in
Oklahoma. A Safety Briefing will be held for this mission and,
depending on the amount of donations and communities that
need our supplies, we will break up into squads for the
escort to different delivery points. Ride time should be
about 2 hours and cover about 130 miles from Gainesville to the
Moore area.
Cleanup supplies that are needed are as
follows: chain saws (new & used), wheel barrows (new &
used), rakes (garden and leaf), work gloves, shovels, duct
tape, dust mask, plastic tarps (all sizes), heavy duty trash
bags, hand towels, hand sanitizer, sun screen, non-latex
rubber gloves, protein bars, batteries (C & D), horse feed,
dog and cat food, and any fencing. Nothing will be turned
down if you want to donate. There are six locations to
donate in the Bonham, Sherman-Denison area, and Gainesville
(contact Carl Feltner). There are sites being set up in the
Dallas and Ft. Worth areas (contact Larry Key). If you are
going to ride and want to purchase a donation, there are
several places in GAINESVILLE that you can purchase these
items. If you or any organizations receive many
donated items, please contact one of the Ride Captains or
Larry Key to arrange pickup. We will need lots of riders to
escort these donations to people in need.
