After a lengthy illness, Joe Posavitz, 69, passed away Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013. He was surrounded by loved ones and passed peacefully. The family is planning a military memorial service in the spring and his ashes will be interred at that time.

memory by standing a Flag Line his inurnment service at the
Dallas – Fort Worth National Cemetery

Details Of Part 1:
|
At the conclusion of the Mission Briefing, four honor bikes
will be selected and staged in Lane “A.” The remainder of
the Riders will move to the committal shelter, establish the
Flag Line, and prepare to receive the family and friends of
Mr. Posavitz. At the conclusion of the service, the flags
will be furled and stored and the Riders will be debriefed
and dismissed.

- Safety First: Please remember to properly hydrate
(including the night before) before any outdoor activity and
to dress appropriately. Do not hesitate to take a break at
any time if you feel you need to get in the shade or get
indoors and always ask for help at any time. Also please do
not forget your sun screen.
- Riders NOT UTILIZING
HANDICAPPED PARKING are requested to park as far forward as
possible at the Visitor's Center to keep the closest spaces
available for other guests.
- Cemeteries are hallowed
ground. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a
minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Show our respect to
ALL who are there, not just the one we are honoring.
