Details Of Part 1:
|
We have been invited by Ralph Cuevas, Historian, to help him
open the new Vietnam War Exhibit that he has started in the
Museum of North Texas History. Mr. Cuevas is a retired Air
Force Veteran (26 years) and is working on his Masters in
history and he wanted to honor and recognize our Vietnam
Veterans with this exhibit. We will form a flag line in
front of the Museum for the arrival of guests. At around
14:05 to 14:10 we will break down the flag line, return the
flags to the truck, and then go inside for Mr. Cuevas to say
a few words and have refreshments before the exhibit is
officially open. Those of you that would like to see the
exhibit (or any of the other exhibits in the Museum) are
invited to stay and do so. The Vietnam Exhibit is in a small
room, so only a few people at a time will be able to go in,
but there are rooms for World Wars I and II, Iwo Jima,
Military Uniforms and Patches among other non-military
rooms. Admission is by donation only. Check out the
following web site for information on the museum and some
pictures of some of the exhibits there now.

We will have someone on the southwest corner of 7th and Indiana showing bikes and cages where to park, so be watching for them to direct you. Please invite your friends and family and anyone you know that might not be a member of the PGR or on our contact list. We want as many people as possible there to honor these fine men and women that served our country in a very unpopular war. Let's thank them and Welcome them Home!!! Always remember, it's never about us, it's always about the mission! Respect and gratitude.
