Jerald Ray McDowra, age 78, of Richardson, passed Sunday, August 3, 2014 in Dallas. He was born August 11, 1935 in Pattonville, Texas to John Austin and Goldie Mae (Carter) McDowra. Jerald served in the U. S. Army from 1954 to 1957 in Germany. He was a
superintendent for various general contractors in the Metroplex and retired at the age of 75. On July 3, 2000 he married Claire in Juneau, Alaska.

Mission Summary:
|
We have been invited by the family of Mr. Jerald McDowra to
participate in the celebration of his life and accompany him
on his last ride to his interment service. We will post a
Flag Line prior to his funeral service and again at the
interment ceremony

Details Of Part 1:
|
Flags will be placed outside the funeral home at
approximately 1200 for visitation. Due to the length of time
from the visitation to the interment service, we will only
stand the Flag Line for 30 minutes prior to the funeral
service and at the graveside. After the Mission Briefing,
all Riders will stand tall and silent while receiving the
family and guests of Mr. McDowra. When the funeral service
begins, the flags will be returned the support vehicle,
which will depart for the Cemetery. The flags will be placed
around the interment site prior to the arrival of the
procession. The remainder of the Riders will prepare for
movement with the procession to the cemetery

- Iron horses if you can, cages are always welcome and
appreciated.
- Safety First: Please remember to
properly hydrate (including the night before) before any
outdoor activity and to dress appropriately. Do not hesitate
to take a break at any time if you feel you need to get in
the shade or get indoors and always ask for help at any
time. Also please do not forget your sun screen.

Cemeteries are hallowed ground. Please keep radios off and
engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit.
Show our respect to ALL who are there, not just the one we
are honoring.
