Details Of Part 1:
|
Riders will stage at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1111
West Danieldale Rd., Duncanville, Texas, 75137, at 0930,
Aug. 11, 2014. There will be a briefing at 0945, after which
we will stand tall and silent in the flag line as family and
friends arrive. Soon after the service begins, we will break
down the flag line, furl the flags and return them to the
flag truck. A riders safety brief will be held and we will
then prepare for the procession to DFW National Cemetery.
North Texas Motorcade will provide the escort service to the
cemetery. Those riders who wish to attend the interment
only, please refer to part 2 of the itinerary.

Riders please stage at DFW National Cemetery Information
Center, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, Texas, 75211, at
1145. Ride Captain Sylvia Miller will hold a briefing at
1200, and as soon as the shelter is clear, riders will set
the flag line and wait for the procession to arrive. After
the service has ended, we will pull the flag line, furl and
return the flags to storage, be debriefed and dismissed.

- DRESS CODE: Please Dress In A Manner Appropriate For
Attending A Funeral Service.
- Iron horses if you
can, cages are always welcome and appreciated.

Safety First: Please remember to properly hydrate (including
the night before) before any outdoor activity and to dress
appropriately. Do not hesitate to take a break at any time
if you feel you need to get in the shade or get indoors and
always ask for help at any time. Also please do not forget
your sun screen.
- Please remember that our mission
is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for
this patriot and their family. NO TALKING, SMOKING, CHEWING
OF TOBACCO PRODUCTS, OR CELL PHONE USE IN THE FLAG LINE!
- Cemeteries are hallowed ground. Please keep radios off
and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed
limit. Show our respect to ALL who are there, not just the
one we are honoring.
