John T. Thompson was born to John Wesley Thompson and Carrie Bell Whitney-Thompson on February 18, 1941 in Sherman Texas. Shortly after graduation, John enlisted into the United States Army, and upon completion of basic training, was sent on his first duty assignment in South Korea. John also proudly served his country in Germany and Ft. Benning, GA, before serving two consecutive tours in the Republic of Vietnam, during the Vietnam War. For his wounds received in combat, John was the recipient of two Purple Heart awards. The first on October 4, 1966 and his second on February 28, 1967. He later received his Honorable Discharge and retirement on January 3, 1968.
On Thursday August 7, 2014, Mr. John T. Thompson received his honorable discharge from the Army of The Lord, and was called home to eternity

Attending A Funeral Service.

can, cages are always welcome and appreciated.

appropriately. Do not hesitate to take a break at any time
if you feel you need to get in the shade or get indoors and
always ask for help at any time. Also please do not forget
your sun screen.

- Cemeteries are hallowed ground. Please keep radios off
and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed
limit. Show our respect to ALL who are there, not just the
one we are honoring.
