Obituary Highlights:

Charlie Lee Clubb, 65, a native of Longview, Texas, retired fork lift operator and resident of Arlington, died on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at a local care facility. Charlie was born on November 14, 1948, one of eight children born to the late Harvel Clubb and the late Dorothy Mae Howard Clubb. Shortly after his graduation, he would serve two years in the US Navy. He was stationed on the USS Constellation, providing support for ground troops during the Vietnam War. His service would include two years of active duty, and nineteen years in the Reserves.

Mission Summary:

The family of Mr. Charlie Clubb has invited the PGR to stand a flag line at the funeral service of their loved one, followed by a procession to DFW National Cemetery and stand a flag line for the interment service.

Details Of Part 1:

PGR will stage at True Life Apostolic Tabernacle of Mansfield. We will set the flags, conduct our briefing and stand the flag line as we welcome friends and family of PO3 Charlie Clubb. At the start of the funeral, we will furl the flags and return them to the support truck. PGR not participating in the procession will then be able to proceed to the DFW National Cemetery for part 2 of the mission and attend the interment briefing by Ride Captain Garland Raney. Those riders remaining for the procession will attend the safety briefing and line up according to the directions of the Ride Captain. We will have an escort service.

Details Of Part 2:

PGR will stage at the Visitors Center at DFW National Cemetery. Riders will be briefed by Garland Raney. If need be, honor bikes will be selected. After the briefing, PGR will proceed to Shelter C, set the flags and stand the flag line as we honor Mr. Charlie Clubb on his final journey. At the conclusion of the service, we will furl and stow the flags, debrief and be dismissed.

- Iron horses if you can, cages are always welcome and appreciated.

- Safety First: Please remember to properly hydrate (including the night before) before any outdoor activity and to dress appropriately. Do not hesitate to take a break at any time if you feel you need to get in the shade or get indoors and always ask for help at any time. Also please do not forget your sun screen.

- Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for this patriot and their family. NO TALKING, SMOKING, CHEWING OF TOBACCO PRODUCTS, OR CELL PHONE USE IN THE FLAG LINE!

- We will park along the main street close to the designated shelter with 2 bikes side by side as close to the curb and each other as possible so that traffic can get by.

- Riders NOT UTILIZING HANDICAPPED PARKING are requested to park as far forward as possible at the Visitor's Center to keep the closest spaces available for other guests.

- Let's always remember to keep the motorcycle and voice noise to a minimum when arriving and leaving the shelters.
