Cpl Uselton joined the US Marine Corp Aug 2, 1949, and
served honorably until Dec 13, 1951. Cpl Uselton was wounded
while serving during the Korean War. Cpl Uselton was awarded
the Purple Heart and the Korean Service Medal, which was
awarded for participation in the Korean War.

Robert Edward "Bob" Uselton, 83, passed peacefully in the presence of his family Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2014, in Fort Worth. Robert was born Sept. 5, 1930, in Euless to Edward Ernest and Dorothy Bauerle Uselton. He attended Euless High School. Robert served in the United States Marine Corps, seeing combat action with the 1st Marine Brigade in Korea. He was severely wounded by mortar fire in August 1950, for which he was awarded the Purple Heart. He was discharged from the Marine Corps due to his injuries, attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and then began a long career with the United States Postal Service, starting as a mail carrier and then working for the vehicle maintenance facility in Fort Worth.

The Family has asked the Patriot Guard Riders to Stand a
Flag line during the Funeral Service at South Park Baptist
Church, followed by the procession to the Laurel Land
Cemetery, which is directly across the street from the
church.

Baptist Church and then stand tall and silent as family and
friends come to honor their loved one and hero. After the
service has begun, we will furl the flags and prepare for
the procession to Laurel Land Cemetery, which is across the
street.
