Mission Summary:

The family of Lt Col Frederick Ratcliff has requested the Patriot Guard Riders to render honors to this U. S. Army career officer. Part 1, Saturday, 7/5/14, we will establish a flag line at Black and Clark Funeral Home in Dallas, and prepare to receive family and friends. After the service begins, we will furl and stow the flags, debrief, and dismiss the riders. Part 2, Monday, 7/7/14, riders will stage at the Information Center for briefing. Honor bikes will be selected and, as soon as Shelter B is cleared, remaining riders will proceed to set up the flag line and prepare for the arrival of family and friends in honor of Lt Col. Frederick Ratcliff. After service has ended, flags will be furled and returned to storage. Riders will then be de-briefed and dismissed.

We will establish a flag line at Black and Clark Funeral Home in Dallas and stand tall and silent while receiving the family and friends of Lt Col Frederick Ratcliff, US Army. After the service begins, we will furl and stow the flags, riders will then be de-briefed and dismissed.

Details Of Part 2:

Riders will stage at the Information Center, after the briefing, four designated honor bikes will be selected to accompany Lt Col Ratcliff from the Information Center. The remainder of the Riders will move to Shelter “B” and establish the Flag Line to receive the family and guests for the committal service. At the conclusion of the service, the Riders will return the flags to the storage area, be debriefed and dismissed.

Comments:

- DRESS CODE: Please Dress In A Manner Appropriate For Attending A Funeral Service.

- Iron horses if you can, cages are always welcome and appreciated.

- Safety First: Please remember to properly hydrate (including the night before) before any outdoor activity and to dress appropriately. Do not hesitate to take a break at any time if you feel you need to get in the shade or get indoors and always ask for help at any time. Also please do not forget your sun screen.

- Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for this patriot and their family. NO TALKING, SMOKING, CHEWING OF TOBACCO PRODUCTS, OR CELL PHONE USE IN THE FLAG LINE!

- We will park along the main street close to the designated shelter with 2 bikes side by side as close to the curb and each other as possible so that traffic can get by.

- Riders NOT UTILIZING HANDICAPPED PARKING are requested to park as far forward as possible at the Visitor's Center to keep the closest spaces available for other guests.

- Let's always remember to keep the motorcycle and voice noise to a minimum when arriving and leaving the shelters.

- Cemeteries are hallowed ground. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Show our respect to ALL who are there, not just the one we are honoring.
