Robert Rudolph Balkau, 79, passed away at home peacefully in his sleep. Bob was born in Bay Shore, New York on December 18, 1934 to Rudolph Julius Balkau and Martha Marie Bluske Balkau. Bob was known by his co-workers as "Nascar Bob" because of his love for racing. He also loved four wheeling in Colorado back country, he enjoyed target practice with his handguns and reading. He made his home in Ellis County, TX for the last 20 years of his life.

Four honor bikes will be selected and position themselves in
staging lane “B.” The Riders will receive the Mission
Briefing and, when directed, establish the Flag Line to
receive the family and friends of Mr. Balkau. At the
conclusion of the service, the flags will be returned to
storage, the Riders debriefed and dismissed
|

- Iron horses if you can, cages are always welcome and
appreciated.
- Safety First: Please remember to
properly hydrate (including the night before) before any
outdoor activity and to dress appropriately. Do not hesitate
to take a break at any time if you feel you need to get in
the shade or get indoors and always ask for help at any
time. Also please do not forget your sun screen.

Riders NOT UTILIZING HANDICAPPED PARKING are requested to
park as far forward as possible at the Visitor's Center to
keep the closest spaces available for other guests.

Cemeteries are hallowed ground. Please keep radios off and
engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit.
Show our respect to ALL who are there, not just the one we
are honoring.
