Mission Summary:

We have been requested to participate on Thursday, October 9, in the procession of The Texas Vietnam Heroes Exhibit, which is a replica set of the "Texas Hero Tags" and a scale model of the monument, from McKinney to Bonham and then to Honey Grove, where the exhibit will be on display for the public from October 11 through November 15. We will also stand a flag line during the opening ceremony of the exhibit on Saturday, October 11.

PART 1:

Procession from McKinney to Bonham then Honey Grove

Details Of Part 1:

Riders will stage at the La Quinta Inn and Suites to be briefed and lined up for the procession. The procession will go from McKinney to Bonham, where a stop will be made on the square for a small ceremony. The procession will then leave the square and proceed to the Bonham VA Hospital for a drive-through of the VA grounds. The procession will then proceed to Honey Grove to the Bertha Voyer Memorial Library, where one of the exhibits will be unloaded while draped with an American Flag. We will stand a flag line while the first exhibit is unloaded and a small ceremony is held presenting the flag to the family of a local Vietnam KIA. Riders will then be dismissed.

All riders must attend the safety briefing to ride in the procession.

Riders will stage at the Bertha Voyer Memorial Library to be briefed for the flag line. A flag line will be stood for the opening ceremony of the exhibit. After the ceremony riders will be dismissed.
