Obituary Highlights:

Cyril Archibald Longton, 91, formerly of Groton, Connecticut, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 24, 2014, at the home of his daughter, Pat Willard.

Helen Cecilia (Mary) Allen Longton, 90, formerly of Groton, Connecticut, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday June 14, 2014, at the home of her daughter Pat Willard in Fort Worth, Texas.

Mission Summary:

The family has asked the PGR to stand the flag line at the memorial of Ens. Cyril Longton, U.S. Navy, followed by a procession to DFW National Cemetery and to stand the flag line there for the Interment service. We will also be honoring S1C Helen Mary Longton, U.S. Navy, whose cremains will be interred along with her husband of nearly 70 years.

Cyril and Helen Mary Longton served during World War II in the U.S.  Their Love story spans almost 70 years, leaving a legacy of son's and daughters, 21 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.

Helen Mary passed away a few weeks ago and was cremated. Cyril passed away August 24th. Helen Mary's cremains will be placed inside the casket of Cyril and they will be interred together for all time.

Riders will stage at the Visitors Center for the mission briefing. At the scheduled time, riders will make their way to Shelter C and set the flag line in preparation to receive family and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Longton.

- Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for this patriot and their family. NO TALKING, SMOKING, CHEWING OF TOBACCO PRODUCTS, OR CELL PHONE USE IN THE FLAG LINE!

- We will park along the main street close to the designated shelter with 2 bikes side by side as close to the curb and each other as possible so that traffic can get by.

Be sure to hydrate before the mission.
