Obituary Highlights:

Frank Hernandez Medrano, 91, died peacefully at his home in Dallas on Tuesday, September 9, 2014. Frank was born on December 2, 1923, the son of the late Miguel Medrano and the late Juanita Hernandez Medrano. At the beginning of World War II, Frank would join the US Army. His service would include tours in Normandy, Belgium and Germany where he would serve with the 133rd Field Artillery Battalion as a medic. After his military service, he would return to Dallas where he would settle into a job with Gifford-Hill. He would retire at the age of 66 after a long-tenured time of service, working many faithful hours as a supervisor.

Details Of Part 1:

The Patriot Guard Riders will stage adjacent to the North Mausoleum as directed by the Ride Captain. Following the Mission Briefing, Riders will stand the Flag Line for the Mass of Christian Burial of CPL Medrano. After the start of the Service, Flags will be furled and the Riders will relocate the short distance to the Cemetery and stand the Flag Line for the Interment Service, which is scheduled to immediately follow the Mass of Christian Burial. At the conclusion of the Service, Flags will be furled and Riders dismissed.

- Iron horses if you can, cages are always welcome and appreciated.

- Safety First: Please remember to properly hydrate (including the night before) before any outdoor activity and to dress appropriately. Do not hesitate to take a break at any time if you feel you need to get in the shade or get indoors and always ask for help at any time. Also please do not forget your sun screen.

- Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for this patriot and their family. NO TALKING, SMOKING, CHEWING OF TOBACCO PRODUCTS, OR CELL PHONE USE IN THE FLAG LINE!

- Cemeteries are hallowed ground. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Show our respect to ALL who are there, not just the one we are honoring.
