Edwin F. Hall III, born on Feb. 4, 1944, joined his Lord and his wife, Virginia "Judy," in eternal life on Monday, Sept. 8, 2014. Ed was a brilliant and highly decorated, retired U.S. Army colonel, who served his country in military intelligence for over 30 years (1964-1996), serving in multiple locations in the U.S., two tours in Vietnam (1966-1970), and one tour in the Federal Republic of Germany (1964 during the Czech Crisis), with courage, honor and distinction. Mission Summary:
|
The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to stand a Flag
Line at the First United Methodist Church in Granbury, TX,
for Retired COL. Edwin F. Hall, III. We also have been asked
to stand a Flag line for the Interment Service at DFW
National Cemetery.

Details Of Part 1:
|
After setting the flags and conducting the briefing, the PGR
will stand the Flag Line for this American Hero. When the
service starts, the Ride Captain will make the decision when
to remove the Flags and take them to the support vehicle.
The flags will be furled, riders debriefed and dismissed.
Once the riders are dismissed, there will be about 3 hours
before the Interment Service at the DFW National Cemetery in
Shelter B at 14:15. (There will be no PGR Procession to DFW
National Cemetery)

The PGR will stage at the Visitors Center. Following the
Mission briefing, and selection of Big Flag Bikes, the
remaining riders will proceed to Shelter B and stand the
flag line for the Interment/Inurnment service for both COL.
Edwin F. Hall III, with his loving wife Virginia “Judy”
Hall. At the conclusion of the service, flags will be
furled, riders debriefed and dismissed.

- DRESS CODE: Please Dress In A Manner Appropriate For
Attending A Funeral Service.
- Iron horses if you
can, cages are always welcome and appreciated.

Safety First: Please remember to properly hydrate (including
the night before) before any outdoor activity and to dress
appropriately. Do not hesitate to take a break at any time
if you feel you need to get in the shade or get indoors and
always ask for help at any time. Also please do not forget
your sun screen.
- Please remember that our mission
is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for
this patriot and their family. NO TALKING, SMOKING, CHEWING
OF TOBACCO PRODUCTS, OR CELL PHONE USE IN THE FLAG LINE!
- Let's always remember to keep the motorcycle and voice
noise to a minimum when arriving and leaving the shelters.
- Cemeteries are hallowed ground. Please keep radios off
and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed
limit. Show our respect to ALL who are there, not just the
one we are honoring.
