Born June 13, 1934. Died September 11, 2014. He was 80 years old. He was the son of Doyle Ferrell, a Hale County Sheriff for 40 years, and Mildred Snodgrass Ferrell, a loving housewife and mother of 8 children. He married Marianne Dykes on March 27, 1955 and they were happily married for 51 years until she passed away in 2006. Edward joined the Air Force in 1951 at age 17 serving as a gunner on B-29s, RB-50s, B-36s, and B-52s across two wars in Korea and Vietnam. He retired after 22 years in 1973 at the rank of Master Sergeant.

The Patriot Guard Riders will stage at Greenwood Cemetery
adjacent to the Interment site as directed by the Ride
Captain. Following the Mission Briefing, Riders will stand
the Flag Line for the Interment Service of MSgt Ferrell. At
the conclusion of the Service, Flags will be furled and
Riders dismissed.

- Cemeteries are hallowed ground. Please keep radios off
and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed
limit. Show our respect to ALL who are there, not just the
one we are honoring.
