Jerry C. Lewallen, 72, of Pittsburg, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2014. He was born October 4, 1941 in Tillamook, Oregon to Homer and Helen Lewallen of Hebo, Oregon. Jerry graduated from Nestucca Union High School in Cloverdale, OR and later joined the US Air Force in 1962. His assignments took him all over the world: Alaska, Washington, North Dakota, Thailand, Nebraska, Georgia, Germany, Turkey, Alabama, Philippines, and Colorado and included two deployments to South East Asia during the Vietnam War. He graduated from the University of Nebraska with a degree in Criminal Justice in 1973

to honor his memory by standing a Flag Line at his funeral
service, accompany him on his last ride, and by standing a
Flag Line at his inurnment service

After the Riders receive the Mission Brief, they will
establish a Flag Line to receive the family and guests of
Major Lewallen. Once the service begins, the flags will be
returned to the support vehicle and the Riders participating
in the procession will receive the Safety Briefing. When
directed, the Riders will accompany Major Lewallen to DFW
National Cemetery

designated honor bikes will remain with the procession, the
remainder of the Riders will proceed to Shelter “A,”
establish the Flag Line, and prepare to receive the family
and friends of Major Lewallen. When directed, the Riders will
return the flags to storage, be debriefed and dismissed

- Iron horses if you can, cages are always welcome and
appreciated.
- Safety First: Please remember to
properly hydrate (including the night before) before any
outdoor activity and to dress appropriately. Do not hesitate
to take a break at any time if you feel you need to get in
the shade or get indoors and always ask for help at any
time. Also please do not forget your sun screen.

Riders NOT UTILIZING HANDICAPPED PARKING are requested to
park as far forward as possible at the Visitor's Center to
keep the closest spaces available for other guests.

Cemeteries are hallowed ground. Please keep radios off and
engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit.
Show our respect to ALL who are there, not just the one we
are honoring.
